Geringe Abweichungen sind auf unterschiedliche Schwindungen von Industriewachs und der zum Einsatz kommenden Metalllegierung zur\u00fcckzuf\u00fchren. Im Anschluss werden die Wachsteile an Verbindungsst\u00fccken zu B\u00e4umen zusammengeklebt, sodass mehrere Teile in einem Fertigungsschritt hergestellt werden k\u00f6nnen. Um die ben\u00f6tigte Gussschale herzustellen, werden die Wachsb\u00e4ume in keramische Masse eingetaucht und danach Sanden unterschiedlicher K\u00f6rnung bestreut. Nach Trocknung wird das Wachs ausgedampft und die entstandene Schale bei \u00fcber 1000 \u00b0C gebrannt. Anschlie\u00dfend erfolgt der Abguss des hei\u00dfen Metalls: der Feinguss. Ist die Schale vollst\u00e4ndig erkaltet, wird sie abgeschlagen. \u00dcbrig bleiben Bauteile, die zun\u00e4chst vom Gussbaum getrennt, gereinigt und dann weiter bearbeitet werden.\u00a0<span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-d14c6c6 ); Diese feinen, kreuzf\u00f6rmigen Anker sind das Bindeglied zwischen Implantat und Knochen. Zun\u00e4chst wurden die Tripoden h\u00e4ndisch im Wachsteil auf die Pfanne geklebt, was extrem zeitaufwendige, sehr filigrane Handarbeit war. Durch die Realisierung im Wachs-3D-Druck wird eine auf ein Zehntelmillimeter genaue Platzierung der Tripoden erm\u00f6glicht. Im Rahmen einer Fertigungskooperation wurde eine bionische Radtr\u00e4gerkonstruktion entwickelt, die trotz einer erheblichen Gewichtseinsparung den erforderlichen Belastungen der Endanwendung standh\u00e4lt. Im Vergleich zum urspr\u00fcnglichen Fr\u00e4steil wurde \u00fcber 40 Prozent des Gewichts eingespart.
